We only retain your data for as long as is necessary and for the purposes specified in this notice.   1. We collect and store your personal data as part of fulfilling a contract with yourself, for producing documentation.

  3. We collect and store your personal data a part of fulfilling a contract with you as a contractor working with us.
  4. We collect and store your personal data as part of our legal obligation for future claims on your estate.
  5. We may occasionally send you marketing information where we have assessed that it is beneficial to you as a client and in our interests. Such information will be non-intrusive and is processed on the grounds of legitimate interests.

  • SWW Trust Coorporation -  We are accredited by and use SWW Trust Coorporation to provide legal services on our client’s behalf. The only personal data we would pass on would be that specifically required, with the client’s permission, to provide the specific legal service required.
  • Kings Court Trust Ltd – We are accredited by and use Kings Court Trust Ltd to provide Probate and Estate Administration services on our client’s behalf. The only personal data we would pass on would be that specifically required, with the client’s permission, to provide Probate and Estate Administration services.   • Holbrook & Co – We use Holbrook & Co to provide conveyancing services. The only personal data we would pass on would be that specifically required, with the client’s permission, to provide conveyancing services.

Gilligan & Co Ltd takes your privacy seriously and takes every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure your personal data. We work hard to protect you and your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction and have several layers of security measures in place, including:

Consequences of Not Providing Your Data

 

You are not obligated to provide your personal information to Gilligan & Co Ltd however, as this information is required for us to provide you with our services or respond to your enquiries, we will not be able to offer some or all our services without it.

 

How Long We Keep Your Data

 

Gilligan & Co Ltd only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations. As an example, we are required to keep your personal data for a minimum of 6 years plus the current year post death, after which time it will be destroyed.

 

Where you have consented to us using your details for direct marketing, we will keep such data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent.
